Nick and I celebrated our Ruby Wedding anniversary in February and I have many happy memories of our lives shared together. He was a very loving,  kind  and gentle man and I know from all your kind words how much love he spread out into his world. He faced his awful disease with dignity and courage  never complaining and always making an effort to be happy. As his world gradually shrank his family who were always the centre of his life became even more important to him.  He was so pleased when his son Andy got engaged to Amanda last year and wished them a happy life together.  He lived to see and hold his new grandson George who with brother Ethan lit up his final days.
